Junior Business Analyst Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Description:

Requirement/Must Have

Ability to gather, document, and validate business requirements.

Ability to collaborate with program leadership, vendors, and technical teams.

Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to support user acceptance testing and requirements traceability.

Experience

Experience supporting business analysis activities for system or process changes.

Experience conducting requirements workshops, interviews, or stakeholder sessions.

Experience with business process analysis or process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with program leadership, program managers, and vendor teams to understand modernization goals.

Gather, document, and validate functional and non-functional business requirements.

Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Conduct business process modeling to support system design and process improvements.

Develop business cases, user stories, and use cases aligned to business needs.

Maintain inventories of business process artifacts such as forms, reports, and correspondence.

Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews, and focus groups with stakeholders and SMEs.

Participate in solution design reviews to ensure requirements are met.

Support definition of user roles and access requirements.

Support user acceptance testing and ensure traceability to documented requirements.

Track and manage changes to business requirements and update traceability artifacts.

Support change management and training activities through documentation and stakeholder briefings.

Provide analytical support for decision-making, risk, and issue management.

Analyze impacts to policies, procedures, training materials, and knowledge documentation.

Work with data teams to define and validate reporting requirements and data accuracy.

Should Have

Ability to influence project direction through analysis and recommendations.

Ability to manage stakeholder communications and build consensus.

Experience supporting modernization or transformation initiatives.

Qualification and Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
