As the Senior Manager, Business Operations Ecommerce – Big & Bulky Fulfillment, you will be accountable for the transformation, day-to-day performance and continuous improvement of the Big & Bulky Ship-to-Home and shipping channel, ensuring orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively.
This role plays a critical part in executing Sam’s Club’s fulfillment strategy. You will focus on optimizing current operations, improving routing and carrier performance, and driving measurable gains in speed, cost, and quality. Working closely with Directors, Site Operations, Supply Chain partners, and last-mile carriers, you’ll translate strategy into action and ensure initiatives are implemented with operational rigor. This role is ideal for a strong operator who thrives in data, leads teams through execution, and drives results in a fast-paced, complex environment.
What you’ll do…
Drive Big & Bulky Transformation Initiative:
Build and execute a cross‑functional transformation plan to simplify the Big & Bulky experience, addressing key friction points across delivery, damage, returns, and fulfillment.
Elevate Shipping & Fulfillment Performance:
Own key metrics including on‑time delivery, order accuracy, damage rates, and shipping cost across assigned channels.
Execute Fulfillment Strategy:
Partner with Directors to operationalize network and routing strategies, ensuring initiatives are implemented effectively and deliver expected outcomes.
Optimize Routing & Cost:
Improve node selection, carrier utilization, and club‑based fulfillment decisions to balance speed, service, and cost.
Lead and Develop a Team:
Manage and coach managers and/or individual contributors, building strong analytical capability and accountability for results.
Partner Cross‑Functionally:
Collaborate with Site Ops, Supply Chain, Technology, and Walmart counterparts to resolve issues, launch improvements, and scale best practices.
Leverage Data for Continuous Improvement:
Analyse fulfillment and shipping data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities; translate insights into clear action plans.
Improve Member Experience:
Ensure operational processes, systems, and settings support fast, reliable delivery while minimizing friction for members and operators.
What you’ll bring…
Fulfillment or Operations Experience:
Proven experience managing complex fulfillment, logistics, or ecommerce operations, ideally including ship‑to‑home or last‑mile delivery.
Strong Execution & Problem‑Solving Skills:
Ability to break down complex problems, prioritise effectively, and drive initiatives to completion.
People Leadership:
Experience leading managers or teams, with a focus on performance management, development, and engagement.
Analytical Acumen:
Comfort working with large data sets, performance metrics, and financial drivers to inform decisions and recommendations.
Cross‑Functional Influence:
Ability to partner effectively across teams and influence outcomes without direct authority.
Bias for Action:
Track record of driving tangible improvements in speed, cost, quality, or reliability in an operational environment.
Customer‑ and Cost‑Focused Mindset:
Ability to balance member experience with operational efficiency and financial discipline.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Minimum Qualifications… Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related area and 5 years’ experience in eCommerce merchandising, site operations, business management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in eCommerce merchandising, site operations, business management, information technology, computer science or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications… ECommerce Merchandising, Site Operations, Business Management, or related area, Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area.
