Receiving and Incoming Quality Inspector

Primary Responsibilities
Coordinates the planning and receipt of incoming parts.
Basic inspection: receiving parts, visual inspection, inspection against purchase order line notes and quality.
Check the quantity of parts, revision and part number against supporting documentation such as a packing list and certificate of conformance, check for any damage. Complete Costpoint transaction and disposition to the delivery point or POC on a PO.
Experience with non‑conformance material is a must and return to vendor coordination as needed.
Must have demonstrated experience with standard measuring equipment: calipers, tape‑measure, rulers and review of Acceptance Data Packs/First Article Reports.
Computer skills: experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word with limited or no errors in entering data into the data systems.
Experience with special processes such as chem film, mil spec, deburring, painting and heat treating.
Experience with verifying and labeling shelf‑life and hazmat material.
Basic Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills and can work well with internal/external suppliers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills within and outside of the organization.
Experience with reviewing AS9100 quality systems and contract requirement documentation such as First Article Report, Inspection and Test Report, Material Test Report, Certificate of Compliance.
Knowledge of reviewing electrical and mechanical technical drawings.
Relevant work experience in a quality inspection role for verifying count and condition.
Deltek Costpoint software experience, excluding time keeping.
Must be able to lift 35 lbs or use the buddy system.
Solumina MES and Documentum experience is a plus.
Must possess a high school diploma, GED or equivalent and typically have two to four years’ experience of electrical and mechanical incoming receiving inspection for quality.
Team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
J‑Standard 600 and 610 experience of electrical items.
Forklift license.
Mechanical inspection utilizing height gauges or special tooling.
