Assembler/Tester A (Repair and Overhaul) 2nd shift Hourly rate: $28.00 - $35.40 per hour (starting rate: $30.00). Second shift hours: 1:45 pm – 10:15 pm. What You’ll Do Assemble, teardown and test routine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies of simple to complex product lines, including commercial and military. Prepare data and test reports. Perform lock wire/safety wire and nameplate installation. Conduct visual inspections, identify defects and handle them per established procedures. Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lockwire pliers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters, and specialized test equipment. Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, testing schematics, verbal and written instructions. Prepare materials, including lapping surfaces with proper tooling techniques and compounds. Perform cross‑training when required. Identify and assist in process improvements. Conduct in‑person testing as required. Use test equipment for in‑process testing and final Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and Component Maintenance Manual (CMM). Retrieve items from the stockroom as needed. Represent the department in customer audits/visits. Adhere to operational procedures and ensure tooling is calibrated before use. Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety rules and regulations. Complete other duties as assigned; may be temporarily reassigned to cover workload in other areas of production. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum of 4 years experience in aerospace manufacturing. Minimum of 4 years experience in assembly and testing of hydraulic and electromechanical actuators, with working knowledge of hydraulic test equipment. Must reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA (no relocation benefit). Legally authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship. US persons under ITAR regulations only. Eaton will consider applicants with criminal histories in accordance with FCIHO. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 6 years assembly and test experience in aerospace manufacturing. ESD certification. Associate’s degree in a technical field. Soldering experience. A&P license. Experience working in an FAA environment.
