Required Experience None Specified. Required Education To qualify to teach AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDIES, applicants MUST have a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 graduate quarter hours) in the teaching discipline. Preferred Qualifications / Experience Teaching experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to teach AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDIES courses on the collegiate level Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning Effective oral and written communication skills Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations None Specified. Pre‑Employment Requirements A criminal background check is required. Work Hours Classes at Perimeter College are offered morning, afternoon and evening including weekends. Salary $3,075.00 for each 3‑semester credit hour course taught.
