Our client, a leading insurance company, is continuing to expand their California business and seeking to add a Senior California Workers' Compensation Claims Consultant III to their organization. This is a newly created position due to their continued growth. This person will be responsible for handling moderate to complex California Workers' Compensation claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates will have the ability to work remotely but must reside in California!
Responsibilities
Handle mid to complex California Workers Compensation Lost Time claims.
Manage a pending ranging between 70 – 90 files.
Investigate claims to determine validity and extent of liability.
Properly investigate and evaluate each case by corresponding with agents, insureds, claimants, witnesses, and others.
Coordinate medical treatment for injured workers.
Review and evaluate documentation, including applications, reports, and statements.
Ensure legal, regulatory, and fair claims handling compliance.
Identify claims with subrogation potential and pursue reimbursement.
Set or recommend reserves based on results of claim investigation.
Qualifications
5+ years of California Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience.
SIP strongly desired.
Must have experience working for an Insurance Carrier or TPA.
Must reside in California and have experience handling litigated files.
Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
Salary and Benefits
$90,000 to $105,000 annual base salary plus bonus.
Ability to work from home.
