An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in ICU care to join a dedicated team on a contract basis. This role encompasses providing high-quality critical care nursing to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ICU setting. Location:This position is based in Andover, KS, with the work site at a well-equipped medical center known for its commitment to advanced patient care and technology. Andover offers a welcoming community atmosphere with easy access to urban amenities and outdoor recreation, making it a great place to work and live. Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients including trauma cases, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and other general post-surgical ICU patients. Monitor and manage advanced life-support equipment such as balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia devices, and ECMO. Perform ICU-specific procedures including chest tube management, central line care, and administration of medication drips. Collaborate efficiently with the healthcare team to ensure high standards of patient care and safety. Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR. Qualifications: Current RN licensure with ICU experience. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC or ATCN. Preferred but not required: NIH certification. Ability to manage high acuity patients with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1 for highest acuity cases. Strong organizational skills, positivity, and engagement in patient care.
