Exceptional opportunity for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide critical care support on a contract basis at a leading medical center near Derby, KS. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic 26-bed ICU unit equipped with advanced technology and a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality patient care. Location Overview: Situated just a short distance from Derby, this healthcare facility combines cutting-edge medical equipment with a supportive environment. The unit specializes in caring for trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU cases, ensuring a fast-paced and engaging work experience in an urban healthcare setting. Schedule/Hours: Night Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients with acuity levels ranging from 1:2 ratios to 1:1 for high acuity, including post-CABG patients. Manage critical equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia protocols, and ECMO. Administer medication drips, manage central lines, and monitor chest tubes. Collaborate closely with a skilled team of RNs, charge nurses, and patient care techs to maintain excellent patient outcomes. Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate documentation and communication.
