This opportunity offers a dynamic nursing role within a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-recognized teaching hospital. The position is based in Summerville, SC, and involves working the night shift in a medical-surgical float pool, supporting both the main hospital and Ashley River Tower. This contract role requires a commitment to a 36-hour workweek with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts (7 PM to 7:30 AM), including every other weekend and holiday rotation. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care across various medical-surgical units as a float nurse. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes. Adapt to varying patient ratios depending on unit assignments. Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including emergency response protocols during hurricane season (JuneNovember). Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse with a South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact license. Minimum of 2 years medical-surgical nursing experience; first-time float pool nurses are welcome. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend and holiday rotations. Flexibility to accommodate block scheduling with managerial approval.
