Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide critical care in a dynamic Emergency Room setting at a well-established critical access center in Conrad, MT. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team managing a diverse patient population in an 8-bed unit that includes 3 ER beds and 5 medical-surgical beds. Embrace a rewarding environment where your skills in emergency nursing and patient assessments are vital to quality care delivery. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct nursing care to patients with conditions including pneumonia, COPD, electrolyte imbalances, cardiac rule outs, UTIs, and diabetes. Manage patient assignments with an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:3 alongside another RN per shift. Perform triage, wound care, IV therapy, chest tube setup, and assist with splints and casting. Conduct physical assessments and administer medications safely and effectively. Handle ER registration duties using Meditech EMR during midnight shifts. Collaborate with CNAs, receptionists, phlebotomy, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists to optimize patient care. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current RN licensure with at least 2 years of nursing experience; critical access center experience preferred. Background in emergency nursing preferred over medical-surgical. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI/MOAB, TNCC, NRP, and PALS highly preferred. Strong IV skills and familiarity with Meditech EMR and relevant medical equipment.
