Providing critical care in a dynamic emergency room setting requires skilled nursing professionals ready to deliver exceptional patient care under fast-paced conditions. This opportunity involves working in a contract role within an 8-bed unit, including 3 ER beds and 5 medical-surgical beds, designed to serve a variety of patient needs at a critical access center. Location: Cut Bank, MTThis charming Montana community offers a serene small-town atmosphere paired with rugged natural beauty. Key Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably with critical access center exposure; ER background strongly preferred Licensure and certifications: Active RN license, BLS, ACLS required; CPI/MOAB, TNCC, NRP, PALS certifications are preferred Proven skills including IV therapy, chest tube setup, triage, wound care, splinting/casting assistance, medication administration, and comprehensive physical assessments Comfortable performing ER registration tasks using Meditech during night shifts Responsibilities: Manage patient care with an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:3 within the ER and medical-surgical beds Collaborate effectively with CNA/HUC and other support staff to provide seamless care Participate in weekend rotations every other week and cover holiday shifts as scheduled Utilize medical equipment and technology including Meditech EMR, Baxter Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Spacelabs monitors Benefits & Perks: Free parking available on-site Supportive work culture emphasizing teamwork and mutual assistance Scheduled shifts of 0800-2000 and 2000-0800 with no on-call requirements Option for flexible scrub colors to maintain comfort and individuality This contract nursing opportunity in Cut Bank offers a compelling balance of professional challenge and community living.
