Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A registered nurse with Med-Surg and Telemetry experience is needed for a night shift position in Rochester, NY. This contract role involves working primarily on medical-surgical/telemetry units with patient ratios varying from 5:1 to 7:1, occasionally stretching higher as needed. The work schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM). Candidates must be prepared to float within scope across similar units including med-surg, ED boarder areas, and ICU for stable patients. Key responsibilities include comprehensive patient care with a focus on managing dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, and management of cardiac drips (without titration). Additional duties cover chest tube care, external CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy management, and wound care including wound vac use. Nurses will collaborate with support teams including PCTs who assist with vital signs, blood glucose, EKGs, and daily living activities, and an in-house phlebotomy team responsible for lab draws. Epic documentation skills are required, with flexibility in scrub attire (navy and white preferred).
