Provide specialized nursing care in a Med-Surg/Telemetry environment, focusing on patients requiring complex monitoring and clinical expertise. Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care on Med-Surg/Telemetry units, including interpreting and managing dysrhythmias. Administer IV insulin protocols and manage feeding tubes, heparin protocols, and cardiac drips (no titration). Provide care for patients with chest tubes, Emerson/PleurEvac systems, external CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and tracheostomies. Participate in wound care and wound vacuum management. Collaborate with healthcare teams, including PCTs and phlebotomy teams, to support patient care. Utilize Epic for accurate and timely charting. Float within scope to other units such as Med-Surg, ED boarders, and ICU stable patient care as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome. Current BLS certification required. Proficient in telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation. Experience with complex patient care techniques listed above. Ability to work night shifts: three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM 7:00 AM). Willingness to work every other weekend. Flexibility to float between related units. Contract Details: Located within a 75-mile radius to encourage travel availability. Contract assignment includes a specific unit assigned closer to start date. Return to office restrictions are limited to one week maximum. Block schedule accommodations may be attempted but are not guaranteed.
