The Cash Applications Specialist will work closely with accounting, legal, and operational teams to ensure funds are applied correctly and accounts are properly reconciled. This position provides hands-on experience with trust accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and technology-driven accounting processes, making it well suited for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy problem-solving and continuous improvement. Job Description: The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for accurately applying and reconciling incoming payments while maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Performing cash application reconciliations between accounting software and internal data management systems • Importing, reviewing, and processing batch check transactions • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and researching discrepancies • Reviewing batch transactions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness • Managing trust accounting activities, including oversight of multiple bank accounts and related transactions • Maintaining detailed and compliant records for all trust-related financial activity • Utilizing technology and automation tools, including AI-driven solutions, to improve accounting workflows • Serving as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, and attorneys regarding cash-related inquiries • Communicating professionally while maintaining strict confidentiality of financial and client information • Supporting audits, reporting requests, and special projects as needed Qualifications: • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred • Two (2) or more years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or general accounting • Strong understanding of cash posting, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts • Experience with accounting software; familiarity with QuickBooks Online preferred • High level of attention to detail and accuracy • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment • Authorization to work in the United States #ACCPRI #ACCSP Company Description Since 1985 – Accounting Recruitment Experts Accounting Career Consultants has been providing direct-hire, consulting, and temporary placement services since 1985.
