The Cash Applications Specialist will work closely with accounting, legal, and operational teams to ensure funds are applied correctly and accounts are properly reconciled. This position provides hands-on experience with trust accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and technology-driven accounting processes, making it well suited for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy problem-solving and continuous improvement. Job Description: The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for accurately applying and reconciling incoming payments while maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Performing cash application reconciliations between accounting software and internal data management systems
Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position. • Importing, reviewing, and processing batch check transactions • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and researching discrepancies • Reviewing batch transactions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness • Managing trust accounting activities, including oversight of multiple bank accounts and related transactions • Maintaining detailed and compliant records for all trust-related financial activity • Utilizing technology and automation tools, including AI-driven solutions, to improve accounting workflows • Serving as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, and attorneys regarding cash-related inquiries • Communicating professionally while maintaining strict confidentiality of financial and client information • Supporting audits, reporting requests, and special projects as needed Qualifications: • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred • Two (2) or more years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or general accounting • Strong understanding of cash posting, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts • Experience with accounting software; familiarity with QuickBooks Online preferred • High level of attention to detail and accuracy • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment • Authorization to work in the United States #ACCPRI #ACCSP Company DescriptionSince 1985 – Accounting Recruitment Experts Accounting Career Consultants has been providing direct-hire, consulting, and temporary placement services since 1985.
