Exceptional opportunity for a Registered Nurse with Cardiac experience to provide specialized care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting. This acute care role involves working 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including every other weekend and holiday rotation. Collaboration and flexibility are essential, as floating within similar units may be required based on patient needs. Location Situated in Marion, South Carolina, this region offers a welcoming community with a blend of small-town charm and convenient access to larger cities. Qualifications & Desired Experience Valid South Carolina nursing license or Compact license must be active prior to starting Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac nursing required Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Proven ability to work in an acute care, high-acuity cardiac unit First-time traveler nurses are not accepted for this assignment Responsibilities & Duties Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in a CVICU Maintain patient safety and confidentiality while utilizing Epic electronic charting system Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Adhere to patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:2 ensuring high-quality patient monitoring and care Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules with ability to float to similar units as necessary Comply with facility protocols including emergency response during hurricane season (JuneNovember) Additional Information Contract assignment with guaranteed hours though facility may call off 1 shift every two weeks No local travelers accepted; radius of 60 miles applies Parking is free and nursing staff wear royal blue scrubs Registered Nurses ready to utilize their cardiac expertise in a rewarding CVICU role with a dynamic care team are encouraged to submit their applications.
