Deliver specialized cardiac critical care as a Registered Nurse in a dynamic cardiovascular ICU environment. This contract position offers a focused role supporting patients with complex cardiac conditions using advanced technologies and interventions in a leading acute care hospital recognized as a Magnet and Teaching Hospital with Level I Trauma designation. Location Positioned in OFallon, MO, this opportunity provides access to a vibrant community with convenient amenities and proximity to metropolitan healthcare resources. The hospital features state-of-the-art facilities emphasizing quality cardiac care and professional nursing practice. Qualifications & Desired Experience Active RN license or pending license accepted Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac/CVICU intensive care nursing BSN preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required Demonstrated competency with ventilator management, arterial and central lines, pulmonary artery catheter monitoring, pacemakers, Impellas, balloon pumps, and LVADs Experience managing complex cardiac conditions including acute heart failure, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, ventricular tachycardia, and vasoactive drip administration Must successfully pass a Relias EKG exam prior to start Schedule & Hours Contract duration: preferred 16 weeks, minimum 13 weeks Guaranteed hours: 36 per week; options for 36 or 48 hours per week Night shift schedule: 4 shifts of 12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) Weekend coverage: every other weekend required Ability to float within the cardiac service line as needed Responsibilities Provide critical and comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular ICU patients Monitor and manage invasive cardiac devices and hemodynamic parameters Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans Document accurately in EPIC electronic health records system Adhere to hospital policies and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards Benefits & Perks Professional development in a Magnet recognized hospital environment Orientation support with designated parking options Access to a Level I Trauma Center with advanced cardiovascular technologies Opportunity to work in a teaching hospital setting renowned for nursing excellence Consider this contract if you meet the cardiac critical care experience requirements and seek a challenging role that utilizes your specialized skills. xsgimln Apply today to contribute your expertise to a leading cardiovascular critical care team.
