Deliver comprehensive nursing care to acute medical-surgical patients in a supportive hospital environment located in Corpus Christi, TX. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply your clinical skills in a well-staffed unit focused on high-quality patient outcomes and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care for 4-6 patients per shift within a 22-bed medical-surgical unit. Perform standard nursing procedures including IV insertion, urinary catheter care, central line maintenance, medication administration, and documentation within the electronic health record system. Manage continuous bladder irrigation and nasogastric tube insertion/maintenance as needed. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain adherence to unit policies and uphold a patient-centered approach. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 1 year acute medical-surgical nursing experience within the last 12 months is required. Experience with neurological patients such as those with cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), transient ischemic attacks (TIA), or altered mental status is highly preferred. Ability and confidence to care for up to 6 patients per shift. Possess a friendly, positive attitude and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
