Team Overview KKR’s Leveraged Credit platform uses a fundamental, bottoms‑up research approach to manage and invest over $45 billion of assets across a variety of asset classes and return profiles. The team is engaged in all aspects of the investment process, including but not limited to: idea generation, research and due diligence, financial modeling, and presentations to the Investment Committee. The Leveraged Credit team also actively shares ideas and industry diligence with KKR’s Private Credit platform, KKR Capital Markets, and KKR Private Equity.
Position Summary & Qualifications KKR's San Francisco‑based Leveraged Credit platform is seeking talented and motivated individuals with 4‑8 years of work experience in asset management, investment banking, equity/credit research, or a related field.
The ideal candidate will have genuine enthusiasm and curiosity for investing and a strong understanding of fundamental business analysis.
Bachelor's degree required; CFA or other advanced degree preferred.
Responsibilities
Leading credit analysis on High Yield bonds, Leveraged Loans, and other debt instruments with increasing independence
Deriving insightful industry trends and investment themes to support portfolio construction
Managing key diligence work streams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
Conducting comprehensive business analysis across a range of companies and sub‑sectors
Identifying relative value opportunities and securities across the capital structure; collaborating on due diligence and industry research across KKR's investment teams outside Leveraged Credit
Developing investment recommendations and presenting findings to senior team members and Investment Committee
Building and maintaining relationships with company management teams, industry experts, and advisors
Mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members

Salary and Benefits This is the expected annual base salary range for this San Francisco‑based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
Base Salary Range: $150,000—$215,000 USD
