Our client is seeking
an experienced Real Estate Finance Attorney
to support a high‑volume, well‑established practice on a temporary basis. This team is managing a significant workload and needs attorneys who can contribute immediately with minimal oversight. The role will remain in place while the client conducts hiring for several permanent associate openings.
Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate real estate finance documents Manage transactions from initial structuring through closing Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution Provide practical legal guidance in a fast‑paced environment Independently handle a substantial portfolio of finance matters
Required Qualifications Active bar license, in good standing, in DC, Maryland, and/or Virginia Background in
real estate finance Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills Experience supporting a busy transactional practice
Preferred Qualifications Experience with
multifamily finance
(e.g., agency lending programs) Prior large‑firm or sophisticated in‑house experience
Work Expectations Full‑time schedule:
35-40 hours per week Remote flexibility with
monthly travel to Washington, DC Compensation determined based on experience; candidates should expect placement within the stated range unless credentials justify otherwise
About the Engagement This is a true temporary assignment designed to provide immediate support to a high‑performing team. Candidates at various experience levels will be considered, provided they can step in quickly and handle substantive work with limited direction.
