About the Team Developer Experience & Product Platform (DEeP) org empowers all of Stripe's products with a shared product platform that can help with rapidly delivering high quality, consistent, cross‑product experiences across our UI and API surfaces. It focuses on providing a consistent and scalable developer experience that any developer can leverage to accelerate a customer’s ability to create value from Stripe.

What You’ll Do As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the DEeP org, you will spearhead Stripe’s Sandbox‑related programs and other critical developer experience programs. Your work on Sandbox environments is strategically critical as these test environments represent the first touchpoint for many developers integrating with Stripe, significantly impacting adoption rates and developer satisfaction. Your role involves spearheading large‑scale technical programs, solving intricate challenges, and ensuring successful product launches. Your strategic thinking, product sense, and execution skills will streamline processes across the organization, enabling our teams to push boundaries and meaningfully impact the broader financial infrastructure landscape.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute cross‑functional programs across engineering divisions.

Manage technical programs, leveraging systems and engineering knowledge.

Collaborate with Engineering and Product Managers to enhance operational efficiency within teams.

Develop, implement, and refine program management frameworks and metrics for goal achievement.

Establish and report on program health and success metrics, using data for strategic decision‑making.

Standardize documentation and project communication processes for consistency and alignment.

Leverage data to drive strategic decisions and reporting at the leadership level.

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of experience in software/systems engineering or technical product/program management.

Experience in improving developer experience.

Technical background, possibly having worked as a product manager or influenced process/program/product changes broadly at a company level.

Proven track record in comprehensive program management across software development phases.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at building strong relationships.

Proficient in driving process improvements across diverse teams and functions.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in large‑scale platforms and organizations.

Demonstrated experience in leading global initiatives, building APIs, products, and scalable systems.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Background as a software engineer or relevant computer science experience.

Hybrid Work at Stripe Office: Stripe‑assigned employees are expected to spend at least 50% of each month in an office or with users. This balance supports collaboration while offering flexibility. Remote: A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 km) or more from a Stripe office. Remote employees are expected to work from home regularly. Stripe does not cover relocation costs.

Pay and Benefits Annual US base salary range: $161,300 – $241,900. Salary may be adjusted during interview. Applicants outside the US can request local salary range. Additional benefits may include equity, bonus or commissions, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and wellness stipends.
