Hotel Kabuki is a stylish boutique hotel in San Francisco's Japantown, blending modern Asian and Western design with upscale amenities and a vibrant neighborhood vibe. Nestled near the Fillmore District and Pacific Heights, Hotel Kabuki offers a serene yet central location ideal for exploring iconic San Francisco landmarks like Union Square and the Golden Gate Bridge. The hotel features elegant rooms and suites, many with balconies and panoramic city or garden views. The interiors reflect a chic fusion of East and West, with a lofted-beam lobby that exudes a lounge-like atmosphere. Additional amenities include a modern fitness center, meeting facilities, and pet-friendly accommodations.

The Assistant Operations Manager F&B at Hotel Kabuki oversees all kitchens and food and beverage outlets within the hotel operated by Hyatt, which includes our breakfast restaurant Small Farms, our cocktail bar Haibu, our mini lobby market Konbini, our kitchen, the staff cafeteria, and our banquet facilities. The Assistant Operations Manager F&B at times will also be responsible for supporting the Rooms division throughout the property as necessary to exceed the guest's expectations.

The salary range for this position is $56,800-$79,400.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations in our kitchen, outlets, and banquet divisions.

Oversee kitchen operations including menu planning, food preparation, and sanitation for outlets, banquets, and colleague dining.

Supports successful execution of banquet functions, special events, and related food and beverage operations.

Maintain and enhance hotel amenity and experience programs to align with the JDV brand experiences.

Assist with hiring, training, and developing Culinary, Stewarding, and Food & Beverage colleagues.

Manage payroll, reporting, inventory, and budget performance, as well as vendor relationships.

Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards.

Coordinate with other hotel departments, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Events, to ensure extraordinary guest service.

Promote an environment that supports both guest satisfaction and colleague engagement.

R esolve guest complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.

Maintain Hyatt brand standards and service quality.

Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes.

Occasionally cover breaks and provide support to the Front Desk team.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people and inspire others

2 years or more of progressive hotel F&B management experience (preferably with Hyatt)

Food, wine, and beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred

Must possess the following strengths: high energy, creative mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, service-minded, team player, motivational leader, effective communicator

Clear concise written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills

Experience in implementing new food & beverage concepts

Flexible work schedule and reliable transportation
