Our client is looking for a hands‑on Senior Accountant with a strong background in accounting and an understanding of construction accounting practices, month end close, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting who will support the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports, and statements in compliance with GAAP and construction industry standards.
Oversee and ensure the accuracy of monthly and quarterly financial closing processes.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity for ongoing construction operations.
Review and ensure the accuracy of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
Assist with the preparation of tax filings, sales & use tax returns for multi‑state.
Provide senior management with regular financial reports to support strategic decision‑making.
Coordinate with external auditors.
Collaborate with other departments, including property management, to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with a focus in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP & construction accounting principles.
Salary Range:
85-99K, DOE
