Based in the quintessential college town of Columbia, Missouri, this position provides information about Mizzou and the college planning process to prospective students, parents and high school counselors. Qualified candidates will be passionate about higher education, eager to join a fun and hard-working team and excited to travel around Missouri and surrounding states.

Key responsibilities include

Independently managing your own recruitment territory. This includes developing recruitment strategy, reviewing and analyzing data to determine fairs and events to attend and which schools to visit. You will build a comprehensive plan to visit high schools, make travel arrangements and conduct visits.

Informing prospective students and their parents about Mizzou’s academic programs, requirements and life on campus which will include attending on and off campus programs.

Communicating with prospective students, parents and high school counselors and presenting to groups ranging from 20-300 people. Daily presentations and one-on-one meetings with campus visitors are required.

Building relationships with prospective students and their families to share the Mizzou experience.

Travel to recruitment events and college fairs around Missouri and surrounding states, some of which will require overnight stays.

Utilizing Slate CRM to track prospects and applicants in your territory and bring new ideas to the table to increase outreach.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

The ability to travel, including days, nights and weekends as required.

A valid driver’s license.

The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Enthusiastic candidates who work well independently as well as in a team.

Experience presenting to groups of 50 or more individuals.

Qualified candidates will possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Qualified candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented and adaptable to change given the nature of the position.

Qualified candidates will have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and/or CRMs, including Slate.

Knowledge of the University of Missouri campus and programs.
