National Accounts Strategic Underwriter
Base pay range: $105,504 – $180,864 per year.
Location In-office 1–2 days per week with hybrid flexibility. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of an Elevance Health office unless an accommodation is required by law.
Overview The National Accounts Strategic Underwriter provides strategic and analytical underwriting support for national account clients. The role involves financial modeling, risk assessments, and multi‑year pricing strategy development tailored to large, complex employer groups.
How You Will Make An Impact
Create competitive, financially sound proposals for growth and renewals.
Collaborate on RFPs and contract customization.
Lead contract negotiations to ensure accurate financial outcomes and risk mitigation.
Assist in the technical development of underwriting associates, providing recommendations on productivity and efficiency improvements.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS in Finance, Actuarial Science, Business, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years in large group insurance underwriting, actuarial analysis, or strategic finance.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, And Experiences
ASA/FSA, CFA, or CEBS credentials preferred.
