Responsibilities
Responsible for all pre‑close and post‑close activities for the month‑end closing process for multiple entities, including journal entries into QuickBooks, weekly cash activity, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Responsible for the preparation for all balance sheet reconciliations for their assigned care centers and accounts, with timely research and resolution to any reconciling items.
Responsible for understanding the care centers’ business office activities, where applicable, related to accounts payable, payroll administration and any other duties performed on‑site.
Communicates with care center staff, Operational leaders, Corporate Accounting, and Finance leadership in matters related to its care centers, interacting to resolve accounting issues while providing the highest level of customer service.
Analyzes care center performance and collaborates with Operational leaders to understand variances in performance to expectations.
Supports the Accounting Manager and Senior Director, as needed.
Supports department in special projects and initiatives, including preparing and gathering data for audit procedures.
Provides training and supervision support to new staff accountants.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Three+ years’ experience working as an Accountant in the healthcare field preferred.
Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Word preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; communicates articulately and comprehends complex written and verbal communication.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and priorities, and maintain high performance levels in a challenging or fast‑paced environment.
Ability to provide excellent, client‑focused service.
Ability to work effectively with various departments and individuals.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Experience working with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and macros preferred.
Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi‑task.
