Job Summary
The University of Colorado Anschutz Campus seeks a part‑time Survey Interviewer to support the Colorado School of Public Health Community Epidemiology & Program Evaluation Group (CEPEG). Interviewers will conduct telephone interviews, process multi‑mode survey data, and ensure high‑quality, HIPAA‑compliant research data collection.
Key Responsibilities
Survey Testing:
Beta‑test newly programmed surveys for functionality, readability, and flow.
Telephone Interviewing:
Conduct phone surveys and enter data using CATI, Qualtrics, REDCAP, or other tools.
Communications:
Communicate professionally with participants, maintain confidentiality, and sign a confidentiality agreement.
Protocol Compliance:
Follow CU Anschutz campus and SRU outreach procedures; violations may lead to termination.
Survey Processing:
Assist in processing materials for phone, web, and paper surveys and contact verification.
Data Management:
Log and verify outreach activities in secure databases; record call attempts and participant notes.
Cohort Management:
Update participant contact information, schedule callbacks, and track contact frequency.
Communication Management:
Retrieve returned mail, voicemail, and email messages; conduct appropriate follow‑up.
Training Activities:
Participate in interviewer training, conduct mock interviews, support technology challenges, and update documentation.
Report to the Assistant Director of CEPEG.
Work Location Hybrid (in‑person on campus or remote, subject to training completion and technical requirements).

Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience in operations, data collection, communications, or telephone interviewing.
Alternatively, related education and/or experience totaling two (2) years.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data entry
HIPAA compliance experience
Bilingual Spanish/English (highly desirable)
Conditions of Employment
Part‑time, non‑benefits eligible.
10–15 hours per week on average during active data collection periods (Oct–Dec, Feb–May).
Minimum one evening shift per week (4–8 pm) and two Saturday shifts per month (11 am–4 pm).
Weekly team meetings required.
Remote work possible with reliable internet and a private workspace.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient general computer use.
Dependable, punctual, and can work scheduled shifts.
Excellent verbal communication; ability to follow strict protocols.
Team player with strong attention to detail and work autonomy.
Adaptable to new situations.
Interest in data collection and survey design methodology.
Understanding of data integrity and quality methods.
