Base pay range: $65,000 – $83,000 per year
Role Overview Step into a hands‑on field role where you’ll build, service, and optimize low‑voltage systems that keep people safe and facilities running. You’ll work across fire alarm, access control, security, IP camera/CCTV, nurse call, tenant entry, intercom, and data/network systems—owning everything from cabling and device installation to programming, testing, and maintenance.
A Day in the Life
Morning: Review plans, gather materials, and coordinate with the team and client on scope and timelines.
Midday: Pull cable, mount and terminate devices, program panels, and integrate systems with the network and monitoring platforms.
Afternoon: Test, document configurations, train end users or junior techs, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
What You’ll Do
Install, program, and maintain low‑voltage solutions (fire alarm, access control, security, IP/CCTV, nurse call, tenant entry, intercom, and data/network).
Conduct inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to keep systems compliant and reliable.
Diagnose panel, sensor, and device issues and implement effective fixes.
Integrate systems with customer networks, monitoring software, and remote access tools.
Partner with clients to define needs and meet project specifications.
Create and maintain accurate installation and service documentation.
Follow safety procedures, industry standards, and local code requirements at all times.
Mentor junior technicians and educate end users on operations and care.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry advances.
Travel & Logistics
Willing to travel about 30% within the region and out of state for national clients (with prior notice).
Travel time, expenses, and daily M&I per diem paid by Caspian.
What You Bring
1–2 years of hands‑on work in Structured Cabling, Video Surveillance, Access Control, Nurse Call, Fire Alarm, IP/CCTV. Manufacturer certifications are a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or an associate degree in electronics/electrical systems preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong grounding in low‑voltage wiring, access control, and security integrations.
Familiarity with network protocols and IP‑based security.
Excellent troubleshooting and customer‑facing communication skills.
Independent, self‑starting mindset with the ability to collaborate in a team.
Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to job sites.
Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook are extremely helpful.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
Operate effectively with minimal supervision; coordinate with other trades on multi‑disciplinary projects.
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Comfortable at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
