Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects
Handle personal injury cases from
initial intake through settlement , ensuring each client receives exceptional representation
Evaluate liability, damages, and insurance coverage
to determine case value and strategy
Oversee and guide case managers
throughout the life of the case
Review medical records and bills, and craft persuasive
demand letters
Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and other opposing parties
Communicate consistently and compassionately with clients
Maintain accurate case documentation and uphold firm standards for excellence
Qualifications
Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus
Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association; active membership preferred
Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
Compensation $100,000 - $150,000 yearly depending on experience
