Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and client-focused
Estate Planning Attorney
with a minimum of
1 year of estate planning experience
to join our growing estate planning practice. This role is ideal for an attorney looking to deepen their estate planning knowledge, develop strong client relationships, and gain public‑facing experience through workshops and seminars—while being supported by a collaborative and experienced legal team.
Location and Work Schedule
Location: 777 Passaic Ave., Clifton, New Jersey (conveniently located near major highways)
Schedule: Full‑time position; hybrid (one day remote), 40–50 hours per week
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $85,000–120,000 + $10,000–15,000 performance‑based bonus
Benefits: PTO, health insurance, 401(k)/profit sharing
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultations & Communication – Meet with clients to understand their goals and explain estate planning options clearly and compassionately; maintain excellent communication throughout the client lifecycle to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
Workshop & Seminar Participation – Present law firm‑hosted workshops, seminars, and community events related to estate planning; assist in educating prospective clients on estate planning fundamentals in a professional and approachable manner.
Client Relationship Building – Develop rapport and long‑term relationships with clients through responsiveness, empathy, and attention to detail; provide ongoing support to clients post‑signing as needed.
Collaboration & Learning – Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure efficient case handling; stay current on developments in estate planning and elder law through training, CLEs, and mentorship.
Qualifications We’re Looking For
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active bar admission in New Jersey (New York and/or Pennsylvania admission is a plus)
Minimum 1 year of experience in estate planning
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confidence and comfort speaking in front of small groups or workshops
A client‑first mindset with the ability to explain legal concepts in plain language
Detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to learn
