Lockheed Martin Space is looking for an innovative and experienced Systems Engineer to support the team that designs, develops, fields and operates systems for a variety of national security mission partners for a growing program in SPP Mission area. This is a key role in the successful execution of activities of major significance to the nation's National Security Enterprise.

A significant focus on this position will be cross-organization relationships and collaborative problem solving. This role will interface with program teams, Cross BA teams, customers, Executive leadership, and as such the candidate must have shown success in working with customers (internally and externally) to mutually agreeable outcomes.

What does this role look like?

Execute system-level tests to verify and/or validate requirements

Perform risk-reduction tests to drive discovery of issues as early as possible

Perform systems/hardware problem investigations, risk reduction planning, systems integration, test planning, and execution

Participate in regular meetings and touchpoints for integrated team, including stakeholder alignments and providing material for leadership updates

Ensure the correct data is created and captured for requirement verification as a part of test execution

Perform data reviews and provide feedback to hardware and integration teams

Be accountable to the Integration and Test Lead for execution of planned program activities

Important Details

The successful candidate must also have ability to successfully collaborate with groups of engineering personnel, and be creative and dedicated to anticipating problems and issues before they happen in order to mitigate them and maintain schedule

Current or Active Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

A successful candidate will typically possess 3+ years of related professional work experience

This role does not support teleworking and the selected candidate MUST be able to work onsite at our Littleton, CO campus.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or relevant technical discipline

Familiarity with Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test, with experience in systems development lifecycle execution on software and hardware-based systems

Experience executing system-level tests on a complex multi-segment system, with an understanding of interdependencies.

Experience integrating various subsystems and components to meet system requirements.

Current/Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Desired skills

Experience planning and executing system-level tests on a complex multi-segment system including external segment providers.

Demonstrated experience interacting with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied.

Demonstrated ability to get results from teams without direct authority.

Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations.

Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware/software products throughout the full lifecycle of the program.

Prior SAP access.

Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Premium Pay Statement Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $102,800 - $178,135. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
