This role in Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) Mumbai builds infrastructure that hosts AWS cloud services. It delivers AWS cloud infrastructure in a challenging, high growth, fast‑paced and customer‑focused work environment. In this role, you will lead cross‑functional teams to deliver usable data center capacity. You will partner with senior stakeholders to develop, document, manage and deliver infrastructure designs, implementation schedules and budgets. You will earn trust of your partners in your ability to solve complex issues and steer teams in right direction to deliver results, on‑time and at‑cost.

You must be an exceptionally strong communicator (both written and verbal), and possess relevant experience of managing technical and strategic programs. If you bring past experience in data center deployment programs, great. If not, then having a background in program and project management, architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/hardware engineering with strong urge to learn will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

The Infrastructure TPM owns delivery of new DC supply across one or more availability zones in India. They manage 10+ projects at any time. They bridge internal customers, business functions, (Planning, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Policy, Operations), and functional delivery teams (Construction, Commissioning, Controls, Fiber and Network) to enable on‑time and right sized delivery of new DC capacity.

The scope begins with early expansion planning, which includes a feasibility analysis to approve expansion plans and associated build timelines. They evaluate multiple factors prior to approving a new plan of record, including owned/leased/collocated DC supply, utility delivery (power, water, and fiber), and long lead equipment (LLE) availability. It requires region‑wide knowledge and monitoring of in‑flight projects, major risks, and remediation efforts to ensure DC delivery is not only on track to meet supply commitments but also to meet customer demand, which is constantly changing.

A successful TPM must be capable of managing a combination of metrics, tools, and mechanisms to remain aware of ongoing risks or issues that require their action, decision, mitigations, or effort to identify alternative solutions communicating up, down, and across the organization to align direction, gain support and drive remediation efforts.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience

Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)

Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent, or 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.) experience
