Responsibilities
Applies advanced knowledge to maintain and repair specialized equipment or design of new processes
Partners with engineers to develop, coordinate, and control technical activities
Leads developing and specifying custom fixtures and tooling, including buy‑off
Responsible for quality processes and application engineering
Provides technical support for production and proto assemblies, root cause analysis, and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non‑conformances
Acts as quality and safety advocate
Applies lean principles to drive improvements and maximize uptime
Edits or creates programs to control equipment
Mentors lower‑level techs
Makes recommendations on PMs and process improvements
Often is the go‑to technical resource for line or new program start‑ups
Tech V
Use excellent wet‑bench chemistry skills to create solutions, perform dilutions, and formulate and reformulate inks, pens, and printing on a variety of printer types
Perform analysis of materials and components utilizing standard chemical/laboratory instrumentation for R&D, product development and manufacturing activities
Perform standard physical analysis of solutions and inks and report results quickly and accurately
Work with chemists to perform experiments and communicate results
Work on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
