What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Provide entry-level paralegal support functions in various legal areas, including Child Support and Civil Commitments

Assist attorneys with trial preparations, including managing evidence and preparing documents for court

Draft and file legal pleadings and documents under attorney supervision

Attend court proceedings, take notes, and assist attorneys during trials

Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with care

What is Required (Qualifications)

Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field

No prior experience required

Basic understanding of legal terminology and court procedures

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience drafting legal documents or preparing exhibits for court proceedings

Familiarity with legal research tools and case management systems

Background in criminal or civil litigation support

Previous experience working with diverse populations in a professional setting

Participation in public sector partnership programs or internships related to legal services
