What’s unique about this role? The Systems Engineer is responsible for administering, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Lighthouse’s 24x7 infrastructure across multiple datacenter locations and Azure environments. This role ensures the availability of our hosting and SaaS infrastructure, supporting Relativity, Nuix, eCapture, and other business‑critical systems in the US and EMEA. The Systems Engineer works across both on‑premises and cloud environments, with opportunities to grow into automation and modernization initiatives.
What will this person do?
Operate and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper‑V, and Horizon View platforms.
Administer and support Windows Server environments, including Microsoft Active Directory (on‑prem), DNS, DHCP, DFS, and GPOs.
Support enterprise storage systems, including Pure Storage, HPE, Dell PowerScale, and Cohesity NAS.
Support Linux system administration tasks in coordination with senior engineers.
Participate in backup and disaster recovery operations with Zerto and Rubrik.
Administer Azure resources, including VMs, storage accounts/tiers, Entra AD (cloud identity), and Microsoft 365 services.
Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 tools (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
Contribute to automation efforts using PowerShell and Azure CLI; gain exposure to Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and Ansible.
Collaborate with teams to support CI/CD pipelines and learn DevOps practices.
Support IAM and SSO integrations (SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
Participate in vulnerability reviews, apply remediation patches, and ensure compliance with security requirements.
Participate in patching management cycles using tools such as SCCM and Intune.
Document infrastructure, system configurations, and operational procedures.
Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and high‑availability initiatives.
Join the on‑call rotation to support systems after hours, weekends, and holidays.

It would also be great if you have the following:
Hands‑on with Windows Server, VMware/Hyper‑V, Horizon View, and enterprise SAN/NAS platforms.
3–5 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in a hybrid environment.
Experience with Zerto and/or Rubrik for backup and disaster recovery.
Familiarity with Azure services (VMs, storage, Entra AD) and Microsoft 365.
Basic experience with Linux system administration.
Experience with patch management and compliance tools (SCCM, Intune).
Scripting experience in PowerShell or Azure CLI; experience with Python for automation.
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep) and automation tools (Ansible).
Understanding of data center design and high‑availability principles.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Ability to plan, scope, and estimate work to deliver quality results.
Certifications - AZ‑900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (required baseline), AZ‑104: Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (preferred), VMware VCP and/or Windows Server certification (preferred).
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
