Systems Engineer / Onsite / Tempe

This Systems Engineer role supports a growing mid-size IT environment in Tempe. You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, and core infrastructure services. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a blend of project work and escalated systems support. You’ll get hands‑on variety across Windows, VMware, Azure, storage, and core infrastructure services. The environment is modernizing, so you’ll help lead migration projects, implement automation, improve security posture, and streamline performance. You’ll work alongside strong network and security teams, with a lot of room to expand your technical depth.

What You Will Be Doing

40% Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO

25% Virtualization (VMware or Hyper‑V)

20% Azure Administration (VMs, storage, identities, backups)

10% MDM/Endpoint (Intune, JAMF, etc.)

5% Automation and scripting (PowerShell preferred)

Daily Responsibilities

100% Hands On

Desired Skills & Experience

PowerShell scripting experience

Intune or MDM administration

Linux experience (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)

Networking fundamentals (VLANs, firewalls, routing basics)

Experience with Microsoft certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, MS-102, etc.)
