Responsibilities We are looking for candidates with hands‑on experience in DISM, WinPE, scripting, creating OS images, etc., who can work in a lab environment setting up laptops and systems with or without chassis, performing BIOS/FW/driver updates, running test plans (video/audio/network/USB) and troubleshooting issues.
Install device images on all selfhost devices (10‑150 units).
Communicate/interface with the AMD Windows OS team to identify and retrieve early builds of Windows OS as a base.
Communicate with platform software leads to identify a collection of drivers, BIOS, and applications that need to be added to the device image.
Use DISM and WinPE to create and manipulate custom OS images.
Manage and extract the Windows Driver Store to migrate and install drivers.
Generate basic scripts in PowerShell.
Use diskpart and perform storage device provisioning.
Download and run Microsoft ADK for testing.
Run AMDSuspend to test sleep, hibernate, and reboot cycles.
Run ad‑hoc testing to reproduce failure scenarios.
Prep devices for demos (special HW configurations, SW and test loads).
Run around AMD Austin campus delivering, troubleshooting, and replacing test devices.
Assemble computers, power supplies, memory, processors, and other components and get devices running.
Read and follow CRB Guides to flash basic firmware to get CRBs working.
Learn/know how to use dediprog to flash SPI components.
Education Bachelor's degree in engineering would be a nice to have but is not required.
