Seeking Creative Designer (Digital+Print) — Come Tell Filoli's Story!
Are you a visual wizard who believes that beauty, nature, and storytelling should define a brand? Filoli, the stunning 654-acre historic estate, is seeking a Creative Designer (Digital+Print) to be the driving force behind our visual identity—from a twinkling holiday ad to a sophisticated member invitation.
This is a multidisciplinary role where you get to balance concept and execution, designing for half a million visitors across both the digital screen and the physical landscape.
This position is full-time, non-exempt and benefit eligible. Depending on candidate experience, the hourly rate range is $39.00 to $45.00. You will be working onsite and your schedule should be flexible to address business needs.
Your Mission: Shape Filoli’s Visual Narrative Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you are the crucial bridge between strategic vision and inspiring visuals. You won't just design assets; you'll shape the atmosphere, delight visitors, and strengthen our position as a premier cultural destination. You will be responsible for translating strategy into stunning reality, including:
Integrated Campaigns: Conceive and produce cohesive visuals for seasonal campaigns (e.g., Holidays at Filoli), ensuring a seamless look across web, social, and print.
Digital Dynamo: Design engaging assets for our online presence, including social media posts, web banners, email templates, and short-form video/motion graphics (if you have the skills!).
Print & Place: Design essential print collateral like beautiful brochures, event programs, maps, invitations, and impactful environmental signage and wayfinding graphics.
Brand Guardian: Serve as the keeper of Filoli's visual standards, ensuring every piece of communication—from a simple postcard to a major ad is consistent, high-quality, and authentic.
Project Management: Masterfully manage multiple concurrent projects, coordinating production with internal teams, photographers and external print vendors.
Your Technical Toolbox
Expert Proficiency Required: Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Bonus Skills: Familiarity with motion graphics (After Effects or Premiere Pro), digital design tools (Figma, Canva), and basic HTML/CSS.
Experience: 3–5 years of professional design experience, ideally within consumer-facing brands, arts, hospitality or attractions.
