Cloud Technical SME - TS/SCI w/Poly
General Dynamics - IT, Corridor North, Maryland, United States
Perform in the Cloud Technical SME Lead role to technically drive a cloud team to transform the client’s on‑prem environment to Microsoft Azure and M365 cloud environment. This effort will be in scope, on schedule and within budget.
Define and deliver on the cloud architecture, approach, and strategy
Interface with the program and client leadership, SMEs and Project Managers to ensure clear communication and definition of cloud solutions to be delivered
Design, architect, deploy and maintain cloud solutions
Move data from on‑premises or legacy systems to the cloud
Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
Monitor system health and troubleshoot technical issues
Conduct risk assessments
Identify technical requirements
Manage project timelines
Identify and recommend opportunities for optimization and cost savings in the cloud environment
Work with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met during and after migration
Provide post‑migration support and address any issues that arise
Document configurations, processes and procedures
Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripts
Implement security and compliance policies
Manage user accounts, permissions and licensing
Ensure seamless integration, security and optimal performance of Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive
What You’ll Need to Succeed Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Engineer SME must have:
Education: Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science
Experience: 15+ years of related experience
Security clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Salary & Benefits The likely salary range for this position is $233,750 – $316,250. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
