La Mesa RV, a recognized industry leader with locations across multiple states, is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Coordinator to join our Corporate Human Resources team in the Phoenix area. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and able to shift priorities easily in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources and Payroll departments, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, smooth employee communication, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding documentation and unemployment paperwork
Maintain accurate employee records, including contact information, job classifications, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key data
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of all HR files and records
Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR department and serve as backup support for other HR staff as assigned
Respond to employee inquiries and ensure timely and effective communication
Assist with the communication, interpretation, and maintenance of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart; contribute to policy updates as needed
Maintain and update employee data within the HRIS system
Manage and organize physical and digital HR files, records, and documentation
Scan and upload documents as required
Distribute daily incoming mail
Ensure all new hire packets are complete and properly documented
Assist with distributing benefits enrollment materials to new employees
Track, audit, and maintain employee timesheets
Scan, audit, and retain I-9 documentation in compliance with federal regulations
Enter and maintain employee information in HRIS, benefits, training, OSHA, and performance review systems
Assist with payroll functions as needed, including processing, answering employee questions, correcting errors, and distributing paychecks
Support the planning and execution of HR-related events, including benefits enrollment, company meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
Comply with company timekeeping policies, including clocking out for a 30-minute lunch break when working five or more hours and adhering to no off-the-clock work requirements
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources
Assist with mailing new hire uniforms
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience and Skills
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a Human Resources department
Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the organization's core values and mission
Bilingual preferred
