Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a hands‑on partner to leaders and employees, supporting the delivery of core HR programs and initiatives while helping advance organizational people strategies.
Responsibilities
Support the implementation and administration of HR programs including benefits, recruiting, training, performance management, and employee relations
Assist with labor relations activities including contract administration, grievance documentation, and preparation for negotiations
Promote and reinforce a safety‑focused workplace culture
Support compensation initiatives through job analysis, wage benchmarking, and FLSA compliance efforts
Address and help resolve employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and HR programs
Assist with the development, interpretation, and ongoing administration of HR policies and procedures
Participate in employee relations investigations and resolution efforts
Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and involvement programs
Contribute to process improvement initiatives by documenting workflows and leveraging systems for efficiency
Provide training and support compliance activities related to ethics and HR policies
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
Five or more years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or unionized environment
Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems such as Kronos, ADP, or similar platforms
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong judgment, problem‑solving ability, and business acumen
Salary Pay is commensurate with experience.
