Senior Accountant

Position Overview Under general direction, the Senior Accountant is responsible for complex accounting and financial reporting functions. You'll analyze data, maintain general ledger accounts, and prepare financial statements and reports. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the overall goals of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Prepare and review account reconciliations, financial statements, and cost reports
Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial system reporting processes
Provide information and prepare schedules for auditors, management, and regulators
Review and post journal entries and general ledger transactions with accuracy and compliance
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory reporting standards
Recommend and implement process improvements for accounting operations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements
Proficiency with financial systems and accounting software
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment
