Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Mesa. This role is responsible for managing vendor payments, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the overall accounting process.
Pay & Schedule
Compensation: $22$25 per hour
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Mesa, Arizona
Core Responsibilities
Review and process incoming invoices, verifying alignment with purchase orders and delivery confirmations.
Prepare weekly payment runs, including checks and electronic transfers.
Monitor the accounts payable email inbox and respond promptly to vendor inquiries.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate vendor profiles and ensure compliance with tax documentation requirements.
Assist with month‑end closing tasks, including accruals and account reconciliations.
Compile audit documentation and provide support during external audits.
Work closely with internal teams to resolve invoice or payment‑related issues.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong accuracy in invoice processing
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency with ERP or accounting software systems
Exceptional attention to detail and numerical precision
Effective communication skills for vendor interactions
Ability to manage time and meet deadlines consistently
Problem‑solving aptitude for reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
Awareness of compliance standards and reporting requirements
Collaborative mindset for working across departments
Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
