The Safety, Security and Resilience Team have a new 12-month fixed term Incident Administrator position available. We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and flexible candidate to support the team to administer the Local Risk Management System for the organisation, work with Localities to improve the quality and timelines of the reporting of incidents across the organisation, and support the wider safety functions of the team. This is an exciting opportunity for an Administrator who has an interest in supporting the wider safety functions of the organisation and who has the passion to provide strong administration support. Main duties of the job

to provide high quality data administration using the Trust's Local Risk Management System, and work with Localities and Corporate Teams to improve the quality and timeliness of reporting of incidents across the organisations Maintain confidentiality in relation to data processing and access to clinical information as appropriate. Apply all training, knowledge and understanding in relation to information governance. Support other areas of administration as directed by the Incident Manager, Associate Director of Safety, Security and Resilience or as required by other senior members of Safer Care. About us

To carry out the Departments incident reporting process, in conjunction with the rest of the team, using the Local Risk Management systems incident reporting software. Reviewing, checking and coding incident reports as they are reported, Informing other staff and departments of all relevant incidents. Sourcing any missing or additional information and adding to incidents to improve the quality of the records. Final processing after authorisation by appropriate managers. Review of data after submission into national systems. Providing support to staff in the use of the incident reporting system either via the telephone / teams or in person. Subsequent updating of incidents on the incident reporting software. Supporting the follow-up management of incidents. Meeting one-off requests for data/reports as they are requested. Using the patient records system to search for missing information and updates then add to incident. Housekeeping and data quality tasks on the incident reporting software, including the removal of any duplicates from the system. Meeting internal and external deadlines for uploading data to external agencies as required. Support for the follow up of RIDDOR related activity. Person Specification

Qualifications

Good level of general education (Mathematics and English to GCSE Grade C) OR Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business and Administration or equivalent Experience

Experience of Office & Microsoft Excel & Word. Office administration Use of Local Risk Management Software Systems Knowledge

Knowledge of quality checking of data. Skills

Able to use own initiative Word processing and IT Skills Minute taking Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. £24,937 to £26,598 a yeargross per annum (pro rata).
