Accounts Receivable Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing Knoxville organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced AR work, values accuracy, and thrives in a fully onsite environment with long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable including invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation
Maintain accurate records of statements, payments, credits, and adjustments
Monitor aging reports and follow up on past due balances to reduce outstanding receivables
Research and resolve billing discrepancies
Communicate with customers regarding invoice questions, payment status, and resolution steps
Perform daily cash applications for checks, ACH, and credit card payments
Support month-end close activities (reconciliations, reporting, corrections)
Collaborate with internal teams (accounting, operations, customer service) to ensure accuracy and timely billing
Required Qualifications
1+ year of Accounts Receivable experience
(billing, invoicing, cash application, or collections)
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
Proficiency with AR or ERP systems (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
Intermediate Excel skills (sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP a plus)
Strong communication skills and customer-service approach
Ability to work fully onsite MondayFriday
Preferred Qualifications
High-volume AR or B2B collections experience
Experience reconciling complex customer accounts
Familiarity with 1099, tax, or multi-entity billing environments
Schedule & Work Environment
Full-time, 40 hours/week
100% onsite in Knoxville, TN
Contract-to-Hire with strong potential for permanent placement
