Your opportunity We are looking for a skilled DigitalProject Manager,with a proventrack record of successfully delivering software development projects,to join our dynamic team at Newstead, Hamilton. You will be responsible for managing projects through the full project management lifecycle, leading teams comprised of both internal and external stakeholders, and delivering outcomes to agreed time, scope, and budget. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with a diverse team of experts to shape and deliver scalable solutions that drive our business toward our goals. From enhancing on-farm tool experiences to optimising corporate systems, you'll have the opportunity to lead projects that directly impact the efficiency and productivity of dairy farmers and our business operations.

Reporting to the Digital Delivery Lead, you will support the Digital Technologies team and be responsible for:

Planning, management, resource allocation, budgeting, and delivery of digital projects.

Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to evaluate business requirements.

Participating in the evaluation and delivery of proposed software solutions.

Managing project delivery teams comprised of both internal and external stakeholders.

Creating and maintaining project documentation required for the delivery and ongoing support of developed solutions.

Maintaining project registers to monitor, analyse, and mitigate project risks and monitor, analyse, and resolve project issues.

Managing and operating project management toolsets and frameworks.

Staying current with the digital trends and technology changes, incl. AI.

Aboutyou You’re a tech-savvy professional with a passion for delivering modern software solutions that create real value for the dairy industry and enhance the overall DairyNZ experience for our farmers, partners, and employees. You thrive as a collaborative team player and trusted advisor, offering support and guidance with a positive solution-focused attitude. You will bring proven experience managing software development projects including web-based applications and APIs in cloud environments, along with the relevant qualifications and at least three years of project management experience.

The successful applicant will have:

A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as an Agile Project Manager or in a similar/related role.

A tertiary qualification in ICT or a Management related field – BSc in Computer Science, BEng, or other equivalent degree would be beneficial but not essential.

A formal qualification in Project Management, such as Agile or PRINCE2.

A demonstratable track record of successfully delivering software development-based projects within a DevOps environment.

Experience managing project teams within a matrix-based organisation.

Comfort working with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, including senior members of staff and vendors.

An ability and willingness to follow established project management processes, including maintaining project registers, managing risks and issues, managing project budgets, and completing project status reporting to a high standard.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with AI technologies and delivering AI-related solutions would be an advantage.
