Our client is seeking an associate with a strong background in casualty claims, particularly experienced in New York labor law, construction accidents, construction defects and/or property damage claims. This role offers an opportunity to work on high-stakes cases, collaborate with senior partners, and provide expert legal counsel to a diverse client base.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $135,000 to $165,000, commensurate with experience and skill set. Compensation includes monthly and annual bonuses.
Responsibilities
Communicate and counsel clients on labor law, risk management, and casualty claims.
Manage and litigate a wide variety of New York Labor Law cases, with a focus on Sections 200, 240(1), and 241(6).
Handle all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, trials, and appeals.
Requirements
3-6 years of litigation experience.
Strong litigation experience, including trial and appellate experience.
Ability to efficiently manage multiple cases at once in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
Organized, detail-oriented, and self-starter.
Must be licensed to practice in New York.
Must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
