The Estimator I is responsible for assisting the Senior Estimator in preparing individual estimates and total preparation of estimates when assigned by the Estimating Director. The Estimator I is accountable for accurate and timely quantity surveys and may also be responsible for preliminary pricing when assigned. They must satisfy the needs of internal and external clients, develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and complete pricing, and utilize proper procedures and tools in estimate preparation. Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Acts as peer to Project Engineers. Performs simple take‑offs. Initiates and maintains subcontractor relationships. Responsible for a limited number of divisions/building elements. Obtains exposure to operations in the field through on‑the‑job opportunities, standard assignments, and technical training program. Travels to company and subsidiary offices and other locations across North America as required. Maintains regular and reliable attendance in person as required by supervisors, company guidelines, and project and office obligations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Reads, analyzes, edits, and interprets information for stakeholders. Responds effectively to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or community members. Effectively presents information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Utilizes Microsoft Office and project management software such as Procore, P6 Primavera, Bluebeam, Navisworks, Touchplan. Develops proficiency with estimating software such as InEight, PlanSwift, AGTEK. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related technical field AND internship/apprentice related experience and/or training OR equivalent education and experience. Growth Opportunities
