Job Description
The Associate supports the National Audio Investment team in the execution and stewardship of media campaigns across network terrestrial radio, podcasting, and digital audio. This entry‑level role provides hands‑on exposure to day‑to‑day media buying operations, including campaign tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and coordination with internal teams and vendors.
The role includes structured training and mentorship to build foundational audio investment skills.
Key Responsibilities Campaign Execution & Stewardship
Assist in the RFP process by gathering proposals, pricing, and availability details
Pull market and audience research using ACT1 to support campaign planning and evaluation
Maintain buysheets and internal documentation; input approved buys into MediaOcean and issue IOs
Verify campaign details against contracts, including rates, impressions, units, and flighting
Update buys to reflect schedule or inventory changes and ensure all revisions are accurately captured
Manage added-value and makegood trackers
Monitor campaign pacing and delivery (planned vs. actual) and flag discrepancies to senior team members
Compile post‑campaign summaries and reporting data
Reconcile invoices and resolve billing discrepancies with vendors
Vendor & Internal Communication
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with vendor partners
Serve as the main contact for vendors on scheduling, programming updates, and creative needs
Coordinate with Planning, Traffic, and Creative teams to ensure timely asset delivery and cross‑team alignment
Troubleshoot spot or delivery issues with vendors and escalate when needed
Support the Finance team on billing needs and timely invoice processing
Prepare internal and client‑facing materials, including delivery recaps, meeting notes, and presentations
Marketplace & Industry Knowledge
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of audio industry trends, partner offerings, and emerging technologies
Participate in vendor meetings, industry presentations, and training sessions to deepen audio marketplace expertise
Stay current on marketplace shifts (programming changes, vendor updates, new platforms) and apply insights to daily work
Gain exposure to brand briefs and campaign objectives to understand how planning informs execution
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
0+ years of experience in media planning/buying, advertising or related internships
Strong analytical skills and proven ability to work with numbers, data and spreadsheets
Additional Information The annual salary range for this position is $39,000‑45,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
