Position Summary:
The Accounting Associate supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization by assisting with general ledger activities, reconciliations, and transaction processing. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring with accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is detail, organized, and eager to build a strong foundation in accounting while working collaboratively with the finance team. Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies and GAAP Assist with financial reporting and internal management reports Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1-2 years of public accounting experience CPA preferred Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel expected Experience with Microsoft PowerBI and Hyperion preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization Ability to work independently and as part of a team Seniority level
